We run 6 luxury villas across Bali — a smaller, curated collection covering the island’s five main regions. Every group considering a Bali villa holiday asks us the same question: which region? The answer depends on what you want from the trip — clifftop views, nightlife, rice terraces, surf breaks, or beachfront calm.

This is the regional guide we send before every Bali booking.

The 30-Second Answer

Uluwatu — clifftop luxury, dramatic ocean views, quiet. Best for honeymooners and couples seeking privacy.

Seminyak — nightlife, restaurants, boutique shopping. Best for friends’ groups and anyone who wants to be in the action.

Ubud — rice terraces, wellness retreats, jungle. Best for yoga groups, wellness trips, and culture-focused stays.

Canggu — surf, cafés, digital nomad scene. Best for young groups and long-stay guests.

Jimbaran — beachfront calm, seafood dining, family-friendly. Best for families and multi-generational groups.

Key takeaway: Bali is our mid-range villa market — from ₹55K/night (Villa Amy, a 3-bedroom Canggu villa) to ₹6L/night (Uluwatu Estate, a 9-bedroom clifftop estate for 18). Most properties sit in the ₹55K–₹90K range, making Bali more affordable than Koh Samui (₹35K–₹2.85L) for larger groups, and significantly cheaper than Phuket (₹1.3L–₹6.5L).

Destination-by-Destination Breakdown

Uluwatu — Clifftop Luxury

Uluwatu sits on the southern Bukit Peninsula — dramatic clifftop villas overlooking the Indian Ocean, world-class surf breaks (Padang Padang, Bingin, Uluwatu), and the famous Uluwatu Temple. It’s the most exclusive and quietest region in our Bali collection — no beach clubs, no crowds, just cliff-edge views and sunset dinners.

Our Uluwatu property is the Uluwatu Estate — a 9-bedroom clifftop villa for up to 18 guests with private pool, ocean views, and full chef service. At ₹6L/night, it’s the premium pick for luxury groups and milestone celebrations.

Best for: Honeymooners, couples seeking privacy, luxury groups, milestone celebrations.

Watch out for: Uluwatu is 45–60 minutes from Seminyak and the airport traffic can be heavy. Fewer restaurants and shops than other regions.

Seminyak — The Nightlife and Dining Hub

Seminyak is Bali’s most cosmopolitan area — high-end restaurants, boutique shops, beach clubs (Potato Head, Ku De Ta), and the island’s best nightlife. The beach is good (though not as dramatic as Uluwatu) and everything you’d want is within walking distance.

We have 2 Seminyak villas: Villa Alamanda (4BR/12) and Villa Adasa (3BR/6). Both are within 10 minutes of Seminyak’s main dining and shopping streets.

Best for: Friends’ groups, couples who want variety, anyone who wants to walk to restaurants and bars.

Watch out for: Traffic in Seminyak is significant. Peak-season prices are the highest in Bali outside Uluwatu.

Ubud — Rice Terraces and Wellness

Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali — rice terraces, Hindu temples, the Monkey Forest, and the island’s best yoga and wellness scene. The pace is slower, the climate is cooler (Ubud is at 200m elevation), and the dining scene is focused on health food and farm-to-table.

We currently don’t have a villa in Ubud, but it’s on our roadmap. For groups who want Ubud, we recommend combining 2–3 nights in Ubud (at a hotel) with 4–5 nights in one of our Seminyak or Uluwatu villas.

Best for: Yoga retreats, wellness trips, culture-focused stays, honeymooners seeking a quieter Bali.

Canggu — Surf and Café Culture

Canggu is the digital-nomad capital of Bali — surf beaches (Batu Bolong, Echo Beach), boutique cafés, co-working spaces, and a growing food scene. It’s younger, more casual, and slightly cheaper than Seminyak.

Our Canggu property is Villa Amy — a 3-bedroom villa for 6 guests at ₹55K/night. It’s a boutique, intimate villa inside the Dea Villas estate, with antique Javanese joglos and a free-form pool.

Best for: Young groups, surfers, digital nomads, couples who want a laid-back vibe.

Jimbaran — Beachfront Calm

Jimbaran is the southern coastal strip between the airport and the Bukit Peninsula — famous for its seafood beach restaurants, calm waters, and family-friendly atmosphere. The Four Seasons and InterContinental resorts are here, giving it a more polished, resort-focused feel than Seminyak or Canggu.

We have 2 Jimbaran villas: Villa Aiko (4BR/10) and Villa Adenium (4BR/8). Both are 15–20 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport.

Best for: Families, multi-generational groups, anyone arriving late and wanting a short transfer.
