Abode Villa – Khandala

Abode Villa sits in Old Khandala, on a quiet lane with mountain views on all sides — the four-bedroom villa has a rooftop pool and jacuzzi, which is unusual for the area.

The villa is a tasteful older Khandala property that was reworked into a private retreat — the interiors are contemporary but the mountain views from the terrace are what the property is really about. The rooftop pool with jacuzzi is the villa's centrepiece. Lonavala Lake Scenic View is 9 minutes away, and the Khandala Ghat view point is 11 minutes.

The Villa

Four air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, all with mountain views. The main living area opens to a terrace and the rooftop pool level. The jacuzzi is on the rooftop, positioned to catch the mist that rolls through Khandala during monsoon. Meals — breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner — can be arranged at an additional cost. The cuisine covers Indian, Continental, Italian, and Chinese.

Location and Neighborhood

Old Khandala, on the Mumbai-Pune highway — the older, more scenic side of the Khandala-Lonavala pair, 90 minutes from Mumbai and 60 from Pune. Kune Falls is 11 minutes. Shivling Point is 30 minutes. Lonavala Lake Scenic View is 9 minutes. The Khandala Ghat View Point is 11 minutes for the classic valley view. Karla Caves and Bhaja Caves are both within a 30-minute drive.

Best For

Two to three families, or a group of friends who want a Khandala villa with a rooftop pool and jacuzzi. The mountain-facing position makes Abode especially good in monsoon — the villa sits right in the mist path.
