The Great Beach Residence – Baa Atoll

The Great Beach Residence is the largest of eight private residences at Amilla Maldives — eight bedrooms, two beach-edge pools, and enough space to host a full group without ever leaving the island.

The residence sits directly on the beach of Amilla's coral-rimmed island, with two private pools at the beach's edge and two alfresco dining decks. The layout includes an enormous air-conditioned living room, two dining tables that can be combined to seat fourteen, an upper-level fan-cooled Majlis lounge, a large bar area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a pool-edge sun deck. Guests have full access to the Amilla resort's amenities.

The Residence

Eight air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, all within the residence. Two private beach-edge pools and two alfresco dining decks give the property a resort-like footprint. An upper-level Majlis lounge offers a shaded retreat away from the sun. The residence is fully serviced by the Amilla resort team. A private chef is available on request at extra charge. Location and Neighborhood

Amilla, in the Baa Atoll of the Maldives — a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, reachable by seaplane or domestic flight from Male. The island itself is coral-rimmed, with a lagoon on one side and the reef on the other. Hanifaru Bay, famous for its manta ray aggregations, is an hour's boat ride. Other resorts in the atoll — Dusit Thani, Milaidhoo, and Kamadhoo — are within day-trip distance.

Best For

Large groups of up to sixteen: extended families, multi-generational trips, or a group of friends who want a private-residence experience inside a luxury resort. The two pools and multiple dining areas make the residence work for guests who want to split into smaller groups throughout the day. For a smaller Amilla residence, Amilla Beach Residence sleeps eight with four bedrooms.
