Kelapa House – Koh Samui

Kelapa House is a glass-and-wood villa by A49, one of Thailand's most respected architecture studios, built into a hillside above Chaweng Noi so that every room faces the water.

Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a 17-metre infinity saltwater pool that appears to spill over the edge of the hill. The villa's name comes from the Malay word for coconut — a nod to the trees that surround it. Inside, the furniture is by B&B Italia and Poltrona Frau, and the open-plan living and dining areas sit behind floor-to-ceiling glass. A spa pavilion, sauna, and private gym with Technogym equipment occupy the lower levels.

The Villa

Four air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms across four floors, each with its own ocean view. The master suite occupies the ground floor alongside the gym. The main living area sits one level down, next to the infinity pool and outdoor dining deck. A media room and a massage/spa floor complete the layout. The villa comes fully staffed, including a villa manager, private chef, and daily housekeeping.

Location and Neighborhood

Chaweng Noi — the quieter, elevated end of Chaweng, away from the crowds but close enough to use as a base. Chaweng Beach and Central Festival Samui are 4.4 km downhill. Seen Beach Club and Phensiri Thai Restaurant are within 3 km. Samui International Airport is a 20-minute drive.

Best For

Families with older children, or a group of couples who want a design-led villa with real privacy between bedrooms. The gym and spa pavilion make it work for guests who want to keep routines while travelling. Know Before You Go
